A view from "our" beach, Napili Bay. The island in front of us is Moloka'i. Napili Bay really is one of the best beaches on the island. The sand and water are perfect. On the south end, there is a rocky cove where sea turtles gather.
A view of the Hana Highway from above. This is one of the most infamous driving adventures in Maui. It was an absolutely beautiful drive, but a very long day. To make the entire loop, we had to drive 12 hours that day!
Can you find Erik in this picture? Supposedly there was a beautiful waterfall up a river off the highway. The rocks were so slippery that I fell into the river three times and had to give up. I relaxed on a rock in the middle of the river, while Erik went the rest of the way. He was so hardcore...climbing across the slippery rocks wearing only flip-flops and smoking a cigarette at the same time.
If you ever go to Maui, get the book Maui Revealed. It directed us to this hidden waterfall below the Hana Highway. The road was actually running above it, and everyone else was completing missing this spectacular site.
The surf pounding the cliffs along the east coast of Maui near the Seven Sacred Pools . The surf seemed to be really turbulent while we were there...making the Seven Sacred Pools more like deadly rapids.
The Nakalele Blowhole on the north coast of Maui. We were able to get so close that we could feel the ground rumble each time water shot up from below.

The view from our lanai (balcony). We didn't have an ocean view, but the grounds of the condos were so beautiful anyway.
The beautiful lanai (balcony) of our condo. Every morning Erik would cook us breakfast, and we'd eat out on the lanai while making plans for the rest of they day.
The kitchen of our fabulous condo in Napili Bay.
Erik showing off the infamous Macadamia Nut pancake that looks like an erupting volcano. We figured if we could just make one that looks like face of Jesus, then we'd sell it on Ebay.
Dinner at Sarento's in Kihei. We drove 45 minutes to go to this restaurant because we heard it was the best on the island. Erik and I felt it was the best meal we've had in our life!
A bunch of us at the best Thai restaurant we've found so far in San Fran. Closest to the camera are Rich and Andree, in the middle of the table are Kenny and Shawn, and at the back are Cris and I.
Cris and I gazing at the breakfast menu at Mama's in San Fran. I hear that Kenny and Cris are regulars at this place now.
